Stefan Moore Joins Port Vale on Loan

-
QPR forward, Stefan Moore has joined Port Vale, initially on a month loan. Moore joined QPR from Aston Villa in the Summer of 2005 as a highly-touted young forward.
QPR play at Port Vale in a couple of weeks, in the next round of the Carling Cup (but Moore won't be permitted to play for Port Vale).

Stefan Moore - A month's loan initially

Martin Foyle this morning secured the services of Queens Park Rangers striker Stefan Moore for a loan period, but the 22 year-old will not be eligible for our 2nd Round Carling Cup tie against Rangers.

Foyle said: "We are delighted to agree with Queens Park Rangers to take Stefan Moore on a month's loan with a view to extending that, and even a permanent deal.

"He is Championship material and it's a great coup for the club and I know there have been one or two others sniffing round him. Nathan Lowndes is probably still a month away from total match fitness, but this gives me two strikers on the bench.

"We play five out the next games at home, so I want to win games and be attacking and I am still hopeful today of getting an answer on a right winger come midfield player.

"We know we need to tighten up in that area, but it gives us the opportunity to put Danny Whitaker back into the middle if need be, so it is positive at the moment and it is good news for Port Vale supporters.

"It was in the pipeline to bring Stefan in, then we go and pull Queens Park Rangers in the Carling Cup. That means he won't be allowed to play in that game of course, which is quite funny really."

Out-of-favour front-man Stefan Moore has joined Port Vale on loan.

The former Aston Villa ace, who signed for the R's in the summer of 2005, has joined Martin Foyle's League One outfit on a one month loan deal.

Moore - who has been starved of first team action since the arrival of Gary Waddock as Manager and was placed on the transfer list at the end of last season - scored just two league goals in 25 appearances for the R's.

Moore will not be available for Vale when the two club's meet in the second round of the Carling Cup on Tuesday September 19th.
