QPR "Shande" Of The Year

Shande (also spelt Shande, Shanda or Shandah)* Of the Year:
*- A Yiddish word meaning "A shame;" "an outrage;" "disgrace;"

As the expression aptly goes, "Sh*t happens." And in football, as elsewhere, tough, and often very unpopular or controversial decisions have to be taken. Certainly as the saying, the one thing in certain in football, is that sooner or later the manager is going to get sacked. But there's more than one way of doing things.
So my 2006 "Shanda" of the Year:

1) The placing of Manager Ian Holloway (along with coaches Tim Breacker and Gary Penrice) on "Gardening Leave" - AFTER having given Holloway permission to talk to Leicester about the managerial position. This with Holloway being QPR's longest serving manager in almost 40 years (since Alec Stock in the 1960s)

2) Legal Action Threatened against AKUTRs
The original QPR Response & the "Apology Statement"

3) The accusations by Chairman Paladini against unamed QPR Fans and the Evening Standard of having a certain anti-club agenda Statement Also Sunday Mirror Interview

4) The curt wording of the announcement that Garry Waddock was leaving QPR (a month after John Gregory's appointment had been accompanied by strong statements by Paladini and Gregory about Waddock's new role as Assistant Manager) "Queens Park Rangers Football Club have parted company with Gary Waddock" QPR Statement

5) The wording of the September announcement that Assistant Manager Alan McDonald was leaving QPR. "...Alan McDonald has been given notice to terminate his employment at Queens Park Rangers Football Club." Statement
