Chelsea's Jimmy Smith joins Norwich on loan. Smith who spent much of last season on loan at QPR, had been strongly rumoured to be coming to QPR.

CITY boss Peter Grant today remained true to his word, completing the loan signing of Chelsea midfielder Jimmy Smith.

Grant had hinted he was close to sealing a temporary deal for a player from the top-flight after last night's 4-0 friendly win over King's Lynn.

And, sure enough, today it was confirmed the Canaries had been successful in landing the services of the attacking midfielder.

The 20-year-old spent a hugely successful loan spell at QPR last season and signs a deal which keeps him at Carrow Road until the end of December Norwich Official Site
