Ex-QPR Update: Brevett at Swindon...Lomas Called up

SWINDON OFFICIAL SITE - Brevett To Join Town
Tue 10 Jul 2007
Former QPR, Fulham and West Ham defender Rufus Brevett, who announced his retirement from the game last May, is to join the club as Sporting Director.
Brevett is currently completing his coaching badges, and it is hoped that once the take-over process has been completed, Brevett will be appointed as Sporting Director, providing a link between the new consortium and also assisting with scouting duties.
Town Boss Paul Sturrock commented on the new appointment:
"Rufus seems a nice lad and has had a decent career in the game and I am sure will have some useful contacts which can hopefully benefit the club.
"He is keen to learn and is currently taking his coaching badges. He will also be helping out with scouting duties, but his primary role is to provide the contact between myself and the new owners. If I need a quick decision to be made then I can get in touch with him and he can facilitate that."Swindon

Northern Ireland boss Nigel Worthington will include Steve Lomas and Gary Hamilton in his squad for Saturday's friendly against Everton in Coleraine.

. Veteran Lomas, 33, won the last of his 46 caps against Finland four years ago, and is in talks about leaving QPR and joining Championship outfit Colchester.
Lomas is from Coleraine and he has been associated with the Milk Cup over the years...
Everton manager David Moyes, whose wife has family connections in Coleraine, has said he will bring a full-strength squad to Northern Ireland for the game. BBC
