QPR Official Site - DOWIE RELISHING VILLA SHOWDOWN
Iain Dowie can't wait to lock horns with Martin O'Neill, when Rangers travel to Villa Park in the third round of the Carling Cup.
Saturday's draw pitted the R's against the big-spending Midlands outfit, in what promises to be a stern test for the Hoops against the much-fancied Premiership outfit.
"I am a great admirer of Martin O'Neill. I know him from working as a TV pundit with him during the World Cup. He's a great football man, and a terrific Manager," Dowie told www.qpr.co.uk.
"We know it's going to be a tough test at Villa Park, but we'll be going there with a strong squad of players.
"The teams I have put out in the opening two rounds against Swindon and Carlisle is testament to how seriously I take this competition.
"I am really looking forward to this challenge. I am sure Martin won't be doing me any favours, but I can't wait to lock horns with him." QPR

Emmanuel Ledesma will serve a one-match suspension, owing to the red card he received against Bristol City on Saturday.
The Argentine midfielder was given his marching orders for two bookable offences, as Rangers held out for 40 minutes with ten men to claim a deserved point at Ashton Gate.
Ledesma will now miss the R's Sky Sports showdown against Southampton on Sunday 14th September.

Oxford United No Cole in Goal
Keeper Jake Cole will miss tomorrow night's Blue Square Premier game at Northwich Victoria
Jake, on loan from QPR, was United's star man at Ebbsfleet on Saturday and played through the pain after picking up a groin strain during the second half. However, the injury will definitely mean he misses the trip to Northwich and he will have a scan today at QPR to assess the full extent of the damage. Ben Hinchliffe is likely to replace Cole in goal against the Vics...." Oxford United
