Ex-QPR Update - Trevor Sinclair to Stoke? & Tony Roberts Finds Out

SINCLAIR IN STOKE TALKS - 06 July 2007


Stoke are in talks with former England winger Trevor Sinclair about a possible move to the Britannia Stadium.Sinclair, who has 12 England caps and represented his country at the 2002 World Cup, met Stoke boss Tony Pulis yesterday afternoon.
The 34-year-old is a free agent, having been released by Manchester City.
He joined City from West Ham for £2.5m in 2003, but played only 98 games in his four years in Manchester because of injuries.
Sinclair joins a list of experienced targets, which includes former Middlesbrough striker Malcolm Christie, who also held talks with Stoke this week.
Pulis said: "We had a good chat with Malcolm and Trevor. The problem is they have been on extortionate money at Premiership clubs.
"We have told them things here are ready to take off, but we want them to come to Stoke because of the club and the football." This is Stafford
