QPR Friendly Against Shrewsbury: Cancelled ---------------

UPDATE: QPR OFFICIAL SITE SHREWS NEWS
The R's pre-season friendly against Shrewsbury Town has been cancelled.
As part of the deal involving a player transfer, Manchester City agreed to officially open their new Stadium and following the appointment of Sven Goran Eriksson last week, the only date they offered to play them play was on Wednesday 1st August.
From an operational point of view it would have been impractical for them to have two matches back-to-back and therefore, the R's scheduled pre-season fixture against the Shrews on Tuesday 31st July, has been cancelled. QPR

Shrewsbury obviously had a better offer!

Shrewsbury Official Site - Man City Date Confirmed
Town have finally confirmed the date for the highly anticipated pre-season game with Manchester City.
With the changes at the Eastfields club it has taken a while to confirm the date but with Sven Goran Ericson finally taking over a date has been agreed.
The game will take place at the new stadium on Wednesday 1st August 2007 with a 7:45pm kick-off.
Full ticket details and prices for this game will be released very shortly. The game will just be a normal pre-season game and not an officla opening match for the new stadium.
One downside of the confirmation is that fact that Town will not be playing QPR on the 31st July.
