Former Feyenoord and Chelsea goalkeeper Ed de Goey has joined the R's backroom staff as First Team Coach.
The 40 year-old Dutchman, who retired from the professional game last year, becomes the latest addition to John Gregory's new-look coaching team.
Speaking exclusively to www.qpr.co.uk, de Goey, who began his career in his homeland with Sparta Rotterdam, said: "I spoke to Mr Gregory about the role and everything feels right. It suits me well and I'm really happy to be joining the Club.
"Last season I worked with the keepers at Chelsea, and that was hugely beneficial, but here I will be working with the whole first team, not just the goalies.''
The former Stoke City keeper continued: "I have got a lot of contacts in the game, and I have discussed that with the Manager.
"But now I am just looking forward to working at QPR
and, hopefully, one day getting the Club back into the Premiership."
De Goey, who left his last Club Stoke City in May 2006, played 31 times for his country between 1992 and 1998.
He played in every game for his country at the 1994 World Cup Finals in the USA, as Holland reached the quarter-finals, losing to eventual winners Brazil.
Gregory believes de Goey's experience and knowledge of the game, both at home and abroad, will benefit his squad, commenting: "I am delighted to be adding Ed to the coaching staff.
"I want to give my players the best possible support that is available to us.
"Ed has a fantastic CV, has played at the very highest level -not just domestically, but internationally too - and comes with the highest recommendations from everybody that has benefited from his coaching

Dutchman Eduard Franciscus de Goeij, or Ed de Goey as he's better known, began his career in his homeland with Sparta Rotterdam.
The domineering goalkeeper spent five years at Sparta, before signing for Dutch giants Feyenoord in 1990.
During a seven-year spell with De club van het volk (The People's Club), De Goey missed a total of just eight games and won one Eredivisie title and four KNVB Cups.
Chelsea swooped for the Dutch international in June 1997, paying £2,250,000, which at the time made him the most expensive goalkeeper in the Premier League.
The popular Dutchman was a first team regular at Stamford Bridge and played an integral role in the Blues' Cup successes.
He set a club record by keeping 29 clean sheets in the 1999/2000 season, but was eventually replaced by Carlo Cudicini and bowed out of Stamford Bridge having played in 179 matches for the Blues.
De Goey joined Stoke City on a free transfer in August 2003 and went on to make 56 appearances in all competitions for the Potters, including three in his final campaign at the Britannia Stadium. QPR
