Ben Sahar Happy to Back at Chelsea - Back With his Agent

Jewish Chronicle/Simon Griver - Sahar goes back to Chelsea — and his special agent
Israeli striker Ben Sahar is happy to be back with Premier League Chelsea.
The 18-year-old, who has just returned from a three-month loan spell at QPR which was hampered by an appendix operation, hopes to get back into the first team. He believes he can help maintain the club’s push for honours in the absence of star striker Didier Drogba who has linked up with the Ivory Coast ahead of the African Nations Cup.
Hoping to get his career back on track, Sahar was an unused substitute in the 2-1 Carling Cup victory. “I’m happy to be back,” he said. “This is home and I feel great here.”
Sahar made history last year when he became the youngest player to represent and score for Israel. After a nightmare spell at QPR, he hopes to put himself back on the football map and has re-signed with super-agent Pini Zahavi. As reported, the pair parted company in November after Zahavi and Sahar’s mother, Batya, fell out. She claimed that Zahavi was “a one-man show” who did not have enough time to handle the daily needs of her son, and that it had been a mistake to loan him to QPR.
“We looked around at other agents and decided in the end that Pini was best for Ben’s future,” said Mrs Sahar.

JC Sport has learned that Zahavi only agreed to take Sahar back after receiving assurances from Batya that she would no longer interfere with his decisions. The Sahar Law passed its first reading in the Knesset on Tuesday.
He was excused military service after a minister complained that it would interupt his football career. In its committee stages, the law was broadened to include talented musicians and artists who may also now be able to perform community work instead.
