UPDATE: Baidoo signs for Dagenham till the end of the season - Baidoo/Dagenham
Dagenham & Redbridge Football Club are pleased to announce the signings of Peter Gain from Peterborough and Shabazz Baidoo from Queens Park Rangers.
After fierce competition for his signature, midfielder Peter, has signed a contract with the Daggers until summer 2009 whilst striker Shabazz has signed a contract until the end of the season...
Shabazz was on Arsenal's books as a youngster and after being released he had a trial at Norwich City before signing for QPR. Born April 1987, he made his debut aged just 16 and his blistering pace and skill immediately caught the eye of the QPR fans. However, after Ian Holloway's departure his chances were few and far between. Baidoo went on loan to Gillingham in December 2007 but didn’t make any appearances for the Priestfield Club.

BBC - March 20, 2006- BBC -Teenager ponders new QPR contract
QPR want striker Shabazz Baidoo to commit his future to the club by signing a new contract.
Youngsters Stefan Bailey and Scott Donnelly have already agreed two-year deals and boss Gary Waddock is keen for Baidoo to sign.
Waddock revealed: "We'll be sitting down with Shabazz and his agent.
"I want him to sign it. It's now down to Shabazz and what he wants to do. Hopefully we can get that contract sorted out."
Baidoo came on as a substitute during Rangers' 1-1 draw against Brighton on Saturday.
The teenager missed a golden chance to win the match for Waddock's side in injury time.
Waddock said: "I don't want that miss to affect him. On another day he would have scored and been the hero.
"I know what he's capable of and he's getting better all the time." BBC
Skysport - April 7 2006 - Baidoo rejects contract offerQueens Park Rangers youngster Shabazz Baidoo has rejected two contract offers from the club, and is unlikely to decide on his future until the summer.
A product of the Arsenal academy, Baidoo also represented England Under-16s during his time at Highbury.
The young striker, who will celebrate his 18th birthday next week, is rumoured to have attracted interest from other clubs, but Rangers caretaker manager Gary Waddock is keen to keep the youngster at Loftus Road.
"Shabazz has turned down two offers, and he will probably now wait until the summer before figuring out what he wants to do," said Waddock.
"I want him to sign, he knows that and his agent knows that. I rate him highly. Shabazz has to ask himself whether he would be a first-team player if he went to another club." Skysport
Skysports - June 2006 - Baidoo pens pro deal By Andrew Scurr
Queens Park Rangers striker Shabazz Baidoo has signed a two-year deal at Loftus Road, ending months of speculation about his future.
The 18-year-old had been linked with a switch to Premiership new-boys Watford after stalling on his first professional contract with Rangers.
Manager Gary Waddock was keen to secure the starlet to a professional contract having impressed in his 17 appearances last season and the player was finally happy to oblige.
"QPR is in my blood and I'm going to do my best to become a regular for the first team next season," Baidoo said.
"I'm fortunate to be training with Paul Furlong and Kevin Gallen, and I hope to emulate what they have achieved here."
Waddock was understandably delighted to secure Baidoo to a contract after previously admitting his concern at the prospect of losing his future star.
"Shabazz is a great young player with a very bright future. He's a natural goalscorer, and it's fantastic to see another scholar become a professional," he added. ...." Skysport
BBC - Gillingham sign Grays striker Oli
Oli has signed a deal to keep him with the Gills until 2010
Gillingham have completed the signing of Grays Athletic striker Dennis Oli on a two-and-a-half year deal for an undisclosed fee.
Gills boss Mark Stimson recruited the 23-year-old on loan in November.
Grays will also receive a 50% sell-on fee if the former QPR forward is sold in the future. Stimson told the club website: "It is great to get him on a permanent deal because he is at the right age and we feel he'll develop into a fine player." BBC
