Gary Speed makes his home debut and is handed the captain's armband for the Championship encounter with Queens Park Rangers.
Bryan Robson makes a total of four changes, despite the cup victory over Bolton. Michael Tonge, Rob Hulse and Billy Sharp also return alongside Speed. Luton Shelton, Jon Stead, Nick Montgomery and Stephen Quinn are the players to make way.
