The Sunday Times Profiles the 1981 Notts County Promotion Team and looks at what happened to the players. Three of the squad, Eddie Kelly, Rachid Harkouk and Don Masson were formerly with QPR. Often a little depressing to read about former players, many years later.
"Eddie Kelly A Glasgow-born midfielder, Kelly had helped Arsenal win the Double and the Inter-City Fairs Cup. He had only one season for County. Now works for a double-glazing company in Torquay, where he finished his playing career
6 Rachid Harkouk Known as Rash the Smash because of his propensity for long shots, Harkouk was born in Chelsea and joined County from QPR at the start of the season. He played for Algeria in the 1986 World Cup finals in Mexico. He has business interests in the Nottinghamshire village of Burton Joyce.
15 Don Masson A skilful midfielder who had helped QPR finish runners-up in the First Division, Masson was in his second spell at Meadow Lane. He won 17 caps for Scotland. He and his wife, Brenda, ran a hotel near Trent Bridge for 15 years. They own The Grange, a five-star guesthouse in the Belvoir valley close to Newark. "

Argus/Howard Griggs - Lewes boss is delighted
Steven King believes new signing Hamid Barr can be a real success at Lewes.
Barr joined the Rooks following his release from Tonbridge Angels.
He has netted 14 goals in 18 starts for the Ryman premier strugglers this season, including the winner when they knocked Oxford United out of the FA Trophy.
The 31-year-old was on the books of Millwall and Crystal Palace as a youngster and played one first team game for Queens Park Rangers in October 2001 when they lost 3-0 to Yeovil in the Football League Trophy.
King said: "He is an excellent signing. He is skilful and quite a crafty player too. He can play in a number of positions but his best is as a second striker, dropping off the centre forward.
"He has scored 14 goals in 18 starts for a side who are third from bottom so that speaks for itself."
Barr goes straight into the squad at home to third-placed Hampton and Richmond...
