Gillingham Official - EXCLUSIVE: CONTRACT UPDATE ON FOUR GILLS STARS
Gillingham quartet Stuart Thurgood, John Nutter, Adam Miller and Leroy Griffiths have all extended their deals at KRBS Priestfield. Thurgood, who signed initially on loan from Grays Athletic, has now penned a permanent deal until the summer of 2009. John Nutter, who moved initially on loan from Stevenage Borough, has now signed a permanent agreement until the end of the 2009 season while Adam Miller has put pen-to-paper on a deal that will run until the end of the 2010 season. Crowd favourite Leroy Griffiths has extended his stay and he will now be here until the end of the season.
Gills boss Mark Stimson told the official website, www.gillinghamfootballclub.com: "I'm glad everything is now complete. I have a lot of faith in the four players that I have brought to the club. They all have bright futures and I'm glad that will be here at Gillingham."

re Marc Bircham - Somerset County Gazette/Steve Sowden -More to come from Yeovil Town midfielder
YEOVIL Town manager Russell Slade is confident that there will be 'more to come' from midfielder Marc Bircham.
The former QPR midfielder went off in the first-half of Saturday's 1-1 Coca-Cola League One draw at Southend after suffering a nasty head wound.
"He's had five or six stitches in what is quite a deep wound," said Slade.
"I got the message very quickly that he wouldn't be back before half-time.
"There was still about 11 minutes to go and that was no good to me so we made the decision to make the change straight away and send on Paul Warne.
"I'm sure it proved to be the right one, because Birch has got a nasty gash there.
Bircham has had terrible luck with injuries since arriving at Huish Park last summer and Saturday's match at Roots Hall was his first 'start' for the Glovers.
Slade admitted after the game that Bircham was not having much luck.
"It was his first game and it was a difficult place to have your first game, but he was doing okay," he said. "But there will be more to come from him."
Bircham's head injury could make him a doubt for Saturday's clash with Oldham Athletic at Huish Park.
But the combative midfielder will more than likely do everything to ensure that he will be available for selection. Gazette
