Football League - JACKETT THE PICK OF LEAGUE 1
Millwall boss Kenny Jackett will be looking to celebrate with a glass of champagne after being named Coca-Cola League 1 Manager of the Month for September.
But he has warned his high-flying Lions not to lose their fizz.
Jackett led his team to four straight wins over Hartlepool United, Leicester City, Cheltenham Town and Swindon Town to move up to fourth in the table.
His eyes are now firmly focused on October's congested fixture list as he aims to restore the club's self belief, and give its long-suffering supporters something to cheer about.
Jackett said: "This award means a lot to us after having such a promising start to the season.
"We wanted to prove to the players that they can be successful and win games - and also show that to the supporters.
"They have not had too much to cheer about recently. Over the past two seasons Millwall's first 10 games have not gone well and that's been tough on them.
"We wanted to be competitive in the first 10 games and give ourselves a good basis to build on.
"I want to say congratulations to all my staff who have helped me since the start of the season.
"We now want to turn our attention to October. It'll be a very busy month. With six league games, there are a lot of points for us to capitalize on."
It marks a complete contrast to last season's nail-biting finale where the Lions were battling against relegation.
A substantial injury list did not help matters, so Jackett is hoping for an easier ride this term.
He added: "When I came in and we needed to stay up. That was a big thing. Now we have to go one stage further and improve.
"We had a lot of injuries last year and hope for better luck this year. Our improved fitness levels will help.
"It was nerve-wracking at times last season but we lived to fight another day and look forward to the rest of this season."
