Of course many fans were screaming for a proven striker signing throughout the summer. But for whatever reason, didn't occur.

- QPR are considering signing a striker on loan after drawing a blank in the 1-0 defeat at Birmingham.
Rangers have managed just one point and one goal from their last four league games and are now 11th in the table.
Coach Iain Dowie told BBC London 94.9: "I've said all along that there are one or two areas I'd like to strengthen.
"That's something we'll do when it's the right character. Anyone in this division looks enviously at Birmingham's squad."
Only Barnsley have scored fewer away goals than QPR in the Championship this season. BBC
