Vine Injury Return Delay

-
QPR Official Site ROWAN FACES THE WAITING GAME
Rowan Vine faces the waiting game for a little while longer, as he bids to return from the fractured leg that has kept him sidelined since early April.
The 26 year-old front-man - who sustained the injury during a freak training ground incident at the end of last season - had hoped to return in the near future, but that appears highly unlikely now, as Head Physio Paul Hunter explained.
"It's not a setback as such, but the fracture is taking a little bit longer to heal than we had originally hoped for," Hunter told www.qpr.co.uk.
"We saw the specialist again on Friday for a CT scan - which gives us a more detailed view than an X-ray - and we were told that he needs to hold fire on the final push of his rehabilitation to allow for greater bone consolidation."
Hunter added: "We're waiting on nature to take its course now to be honest.
"It's hard to predict how long he'll be sidelined for, but we'll be back at the specialists' again in four weeks time and reassess thereafter.
"Rowan is deeply frustrated, but he's been first class throughout the whole rehabilitation process and he needs to maintain that attitude now.
"Of course it's frustrating, but the backroom staff are behind him, as are the players, and we'll make sure we help him through this awkward period."
