Eurosport Barker's fitness a worry for Harford
QPR will hand a late fitness test to Chris Barker ahead of the trip to Deepdale to face fellow strugglers Preston North End on Tuesday night. The left-back played the full 90 minutes of Saturday's draw with Ipswich just 10 days after undergoing a hernia operation, and another game in quick succession could prove too much.
Michael Mancienne played an hour at right-back after six weeks out with back and hamstring problems and should keep his place, while striker Marc Nygaard climbed off the bench to score following a spell out with calf trouble.
On-loan Chelsea striker Ben Sahar was rested at the weekend and could return to the squad.
Danny Nardiello (hamstring), Dexter Blackstock (knee), Pat Kanyuka (thigh) and Simon Walton (broken leg) are still missing.
The match could be caretaker boss Mick Harford's last in charge, with ex-Palermo manager Francesco Guidolin reportedly set to take over later this week. Yahoo
Eurosport-Loftus Road life growing on Vine
QPR striker Rowan Vine has revealed he would be happy to consider extending his loan spell from Birmingham City. The 25-year-old has joined Rangers for a month after struggling to break into the City first team and has been an instant hit at Loftus Road in his three games so far.
"I can't see any reason why not, I just want to play football," he said.
"At the moment I'm just taking it as it comes. Premiership football is my ambition and however I get there I'll take it.
"But I wouldn't want to be sitting around at Birmingham if I don't see any chance of getting a game." Yahoo
Oxford Mail - Bailey's regret at slow start
ON-LOAN QPR midfielder Stefan Bailey's performance was one of the few positives to come out of Oxford United's disappointing 0-0 draw with Woking at the weekend.
He gave an authoritative display in his full home debut before getting a yellow card which understandably curbed his tigerish tackling.
Bailey felt the U's recovered well from the stunning start Woking had, when they had five good attempts on goal in the first five minutes, but that they should have gone on to win.
"We weren't out of the blocks as sharp as we should have been - and Billy (Turley) did well - but I thought we picked ourselves up, though not as much as we should have done," he said. "We should have been stronger.
"We played some good football but it just didn't go our way."
It was the first time at home this season that United had started with 4-4-2 but they didn't look comfortable in the early stages.
"A couple of players were kind of edgy about the positions they were playing in, " Bailey said, "and settled in slowly. Maybe that's why we had a shaky start . . . but that's what training's for."
The midfielder was being watched from the stand by his friend and Loftus Road colleague Dexter Blackstock, the former Oxford United striker, who is currently out injured.
Said Bailey: "Dexter really sold me the club. I came down and watched the Torquay game - the second half wasn't the best - but he did sll me the club.
"To be honest, i was looking for a highr-league club but I came down and saw the facilities and thought this club has got so much potential. So i just wanted to come down and help Oxford because I don't think they should be in this position and in this league. Hopefully, we can just improve."
While Bailey has been given permission by his club to play for Oxford United in the FA Cup, fellow loanee Jordan Rhodes has not. Oxford Mail

Bean Returns to Blackpool
BBC -Grayson recalls Bean from Millers
Injury concerns have led Blackpool manager Simon Grayson to recall midfielder Marcus Bean from his loan spell with League Two Rotherham.
The 22-year-old is expected to go straight into the squad for Tuesday evening's match at West Brom. Grayson made the move as he only had 16 fit players at the weekend. Ben Burgess is troubled by an ankle injury and fellow striker Andy Morrell by a bad back, while Ian Evatt and Adrian Forbes are unavailable. Bean has played 14 times for Rotherham this season, scoring one goal. BBC
