"Guidolin to guide Super Hoops?
Former Palermo Coach Francesco Guidolin is in the frame for the vacant managerial seat at Queens Park Rangers. The experienced Coach is reportedly ready to take control at Loftus Road within the next week. The 52-year-old ex-Monaco boss sat next to new club owner Flavio Briatore on Monday as the West London outfit beat Norwich 1-0. Guidolin is still under contract with Palermo and is waiting for a financial settlement before his future can be settled definitively but he has already indicated that he would take the job." Mail - QPR wait on Italian
Italian Francesco Guidolin will be appointed manager of Queens Park Rangers if he can resolve a contract issue with his former club Palermo.
The 52-year-old remains under contract with the Serie A side despite his second spell there coming to an end in May.
He has told QPR he cannot accept their offer until the issue with Palermo is resolved.
Nevertheless, the London club's new Flavio Briatore-led board are confident Guidolin will be confirmed as manager before the home fixture against Ipswich a week on Saturday.
They have already appointed another Italian, Francesco Ceravola, who worked for Juventus for 14 years, as the new chief scout. Mail
