Why Sahar Didn't Play...Jarrett Ineligible for Preston...Walton and Vine Perspectives

QPR Official Site SAHAR TO RETURN?
Ben Sahar is in line to return to the QPR squad on Tuesday evening, after missing out against Ipswich Town at the weekend.
The Chelsea loanee only returned from Israeli international duty on Friday morning and as a result, was not considered by Caretaker Manager Mick Harford for the 1-1 draw against the Tractor Boys 24 hours or so later.
However, Sahar trained with his team-mates this morning and could be set to feature against Preston North End at Deepdale.
Fellow loanee Michael Mancienne was substituted as a precaution on Saturday, but is expected to retain his place in the R's back four against Paul Simpson's men.
The England Under-21 defender was returning from a six-week absence with a back / hamstring injury.
"Michael hasn't played a lot of football, so we were just protecting him," Harford told www.qpr.co.uk.
"He was very tired at half-time, but we left him on for another 10-15 minutes after the break and he did a good job for us."
Under the terms of his three month loan deal, Preston midfielder Jason Jarrett is ineligible, while long term injury victims Dexter Blackstock (knee), Pat Kanyuka (thigh) and Simon Walton (fractured fibula) remain sidelined.
Preston could be ready to welcome back Paul McKenna. The midfielder, who has been sidelined for eight months with an abdominal injury, came through 90 minutes for the Reserves, in a 1-1 draw with Morecambe last week.
Preston will have to do without Liam Chilvers though, after the defender limped off against Sheffield United on Saturday. QPR

Evening Star- Walton: Ipswich need two more players ELVIN KING
SIMON Walton, who scored at Loftus Road to help get Ipswich Town's 2006/7 season off the ground, feels the Blues would benefit from a couple of additional players.
Walton, who had four months on loan at Portman Road from Charlton last season and scored three times in 19 appearances, is now a Queens Park Rangers player.
He expects to be back in action in around a month after suffering a broken leg and watched Saturday's 1-1 Coca-Cola Championship draw.
Ipswich did well, but I have seen them play better,” said Walton. “Perhaps they need a couple of players to strengthen their squad.
“This could make all the difference to them.
“We knocked the ball around well, but we rarely looked like scoring and need a bit more up front to move up the table.”

Birmingham City striker Rowan Vine - once a prospective Ipswich target - missed a good late chance for Rangers.
On loan at Loftus Road, Vine said: “It is disappointing that we did not win - we deserved it.
“We had a lot of the ball, but were dealt a sucker punch when Ipswich scored.

I know what is needed at this level with hard work being top of the list and at 25 I would rather be playing than sitting on the bench or in the reserves in the Premier League.
“We know changes are afoot at Rangers, but we are treating Mick Harford as the manager to take the team up the table
