Updated - QPR Ostensibly Chasing Real Madrid's Daniel Parejo

From anywhere else, might seem mere media hype; but this is from a serious source, even if it's seems totally beyond belief. Doesn't mean it will happen but does suggest something serious here [Back in early June, there were reports about a QPR interest in Parejo]

Laurent Picard/Sentant - QPR to snap up Spaniard

Real Madrid starlet Daniel Parejo will be loaned to Queens Park Rangers for a season, according to reports in Spain.
QPR are keen to build a side capable of promotion following the takeover by Flavio Briatore and co. and they have targeted a number of players.
Midfielder Parejo, 19, seen as one of the most promising talents of Real’s Academy, has caught the eye of the Loftus Road club who are believed to have won the race for his signature on a short-term deal.
Three top Spanish clubs, Villarreal, Deportivo La Coruna and Getafe were all interested in securing the youngster’s services, but the domestic press claim Parejo is heading to London.
Bahia Internacional, the company that manages the player’s rights, held talks with QPR and are believed to have given the green light regarding a loan move. Setanta

Dave McIntyre - BBC 606 Rangers chase £8m Parejo signing
Flavio Briatore is hoping to use his connections to bring highly-rated Real Madrid youngster Daniel Parejo to QPR - on a permanent deal.
Rangers have forged close links with Real since the Briatore-led takeover and have looked at a number of players for a possible loan move.
Parejo, 21, has been their top target and has also been linked with Arsenal.
Spanish newspaper Marca has reported that the midfielder is on the way to west London on loan.
That would be a major coup for Rangers, but the club are in fact hoping to go one better and sign Parejo for around £8m.
Negotiations have been going on for some time and at one stage it seemed Rangers might even complete the signing today.
Now if the move happens it looks more like being later this week or, more likely, on Monday.
Real seem willing to do business. The main issue appears to be convincing Parejo to move to England.
The deal being discussed is very much a permanent one, although an initial loan deal - similar to the signing of Emmanual Ledesma from Genoa with the option of a £2.2m transfer next summer - is an option.
The club are also desperate to sign a left-winger before the season starts.
After failing to agree a fee for Lee Cook, Rangers are now interested in his Fulham team-mate Hameur Bouazza, while Middlesbrough’s Adam Johnson has been Iain Dowie’s first choice for the position and remains so.
Finally, Matt Connolly will this afternoon have a scan on the ankle he injured during the friendly at Falkirk.
I spoke to Matt briefly after the Kilmarnock game last night and he seemed optimistic that no significant ligament damage would be found. BBC
