QPR to Dowie: Get QPR Promoted...Then Be Replaced!

QPR tell Dowie: Win us promotion..then YOU'RE FIRED!

Iain Dowie is working flat out to win promotion with QPR - even though it may earn him the sack.
People Sport understands the new Hoops boss has agreed a golden handshake of almost £1million if he makes it to the Premier League this season before stepping down.
Promotion specialist Dowie is seen as the perfect man to take the club to the big time - but then club chiefs see a highprofile manager coming in.
Qpr have been in the spotlight since Bernie Ecclestone and Flavio Briatore bought the London club almost a year ago, with their target the big time.
Having signed massive sponsorship deals with Lotto and Gulf Air, the four-year plan to make it into the top flight is being brought forward.
Dowie's two-year deal was a shock to most but, with his record of winning promotion with both Oldham and Crystal Palace, his CV was the best to get the job done.
Formula One tycoons Ecclestone and Briatore are men who like to take one step at a time and Dowie fits the bill for a quick promotion push.
Qpr have not gone crazy with their new-found wealth but sporting director Gianni Paladini has made it clear that if there is a deal to be had, there is money.
Briatore is looking for class and to turn this once crisis-hit London club into the biggest in the capital.
With owners' wealth of over £15billion, anything is possible. Famous London restaurant Cipriani's is set to do the catering at the club this season as Briatore realises the importance of good hospitality.
Nothing is being overlooked in a bid to turn Loftus Road into a bigger and better venue, with everything geared up to making the massive jump out of the Championship.
Dowie had looked to bring in his old front man Andy Johnson, whom he worked with at Crystal Palace, but the pintsized goal machine wants to stay in the Premier League with Everton.
Johnson was one of the reasons Dowie's time came to an end at Palace because he had to sell him.

Alex McLEISH has joined the race for Crystal Palace's Ben Watson. The Birmingham chief needs a spark in the centre of his midfield and has homed in on the 22-year-old.
Watson has rejected Neil Warnock's last contract offer and was the subject of a £1.25m bid by QPR boss Dowie.
However, McLeish is flush after swelling the coffers at St Andrews this past week....
Although Kevin Phillips joined on a £22,000-a-week deal from West Brom, McLeish still thinks he needs some legs in his engine room and has earmarked the flame-haired youngster as his next recruit." People

Meanwhile BBC Gossip: "Fulham midfielder Lee Cook, who has not played for the club since his move from QPR because of injury, is a target for Wolves and Sheffield United. (News of the World) BBC
