Daily Mail - Peterborough boss Ferguson fits the bill for QPR owners
Darren Ferguson is emerging as the preferred candidate to take over as QPR manager. Ferguson, 36, has impressed with his work at League One Peterborough and fits the profile required for QPR's ambitious owners as a young, hungry manager.
Terry Venables, Sam Allardyce and former Italy keeper Walter Zenga, coach at Serie A side Catania, have all been linked with the job.
Ferguson was mentioned as a replacement for Stan Ternent at Huddersfield along with Steve Cotterill, Rotherham's Mark Robins and Scunthorpe's Nigel Adkins.
Cotterill is also among Watford's candidates where caretaker boss Malky Mackay has appointed former assistant manager Keith Burkinshaw to the coaching staff on an interim basis. Mail
