Snippet: Football Expert David Mellor on QPR's Situation

-
David Mellor/The Standard
"...Flavio has to splash the cash
Who'd be a QPR fan? They must have thought Christmas had come early when three of the world's wealthiest men, Flavio Briatore, Bernie Ecclestone and Lakshmi Mittal bought their club.
Instead, all they get from Briatore is a rich man's ego without much rich man's cash.
Come back Gianni Paladini, all is forgiven." The Standard

Also Chris Charles Blog/BBC
"...Over at my crazy club, Paula Sousa became the sixth man to take the reins at QPR since Flavio Briatore and co assumed control 14 months ago. Sousa was quickly christened Keyser by wags on the Loft for Words messageboard, but was powerless to stop the usual suspects crashing 3-0 to Watford. The Portuguese superstar said: "I have always wanted to work for a big club" - hope he gets his wish one day...." BBC

Comments:
Expert? Says who? He was absolutely worthless as a government minister, shocking as a 'journalist' and he supports Chelsea. Been terrible at two things and liking Chelsea hardly qualifies the man as an expert in anything. Oh and when he says come back Gianni Paladini, where does he mean from? The sporting director's office at QPR where he currently works? If you're going to pontificate at least check your facts first Mellor

Oh look, another dig at the owners. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Football expert my right nut.

Good to see the sub-Standard is maintaining its high level of journalism. I'd rather read London Lite and thelondonpaper and they are hardly cutting edge.
Leave our club alone and wait until the end of season and then you can tell us how right you were. This from an exMP whose taste in whores was/is extremely dubious (IMHO)

why would a newspaper let a idiot like Mellor quote something like that - so clearly missing the facts - as pointed out - Gianna Paladini is still at the club as Sporting Director - shame on you Standard! Embarrassing actually....

If David Mellor is 'a football expert' then I am Jesus Christ. The guy was a shambolic former government minister of fun. He is also a Chelsea fan and as such will make digs at QPR whenever he can.

Why don't go back to ****ging unknown spanish actresses earing your Chelsea kit?
